Neoteric Feminine Tarot by Wyspell and Goetia - Tarot in Darkness by Fabio Listrani are used in this reading.

Welcome to the Threshold.

This is a space for the moments when something is ending, something else is beginning, and you are standing in the middle trying to figure out what the fuck is happening.

These readings are not here to hand you easy answers, flatter you, or tell you that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes things happen because people make harmful choices, systems fail, or life is chaotic and unfair. The cards and runes do not remove our responsibility to think clearly, make decisions, set boundaries, and do our own shadow work. What they can do is help us see the pattern.

Each Threshold Reading begins with a cast of runes, tarot, oracle cards, or whatever wants to make itself known that day. I pay attention not only to the individual symbols but also to how they arrive, where they land, what they conceal, what they repeat, and how they speak to one another. I am not interested in forcing a neat message onto a messy spread. If the reading is complicated, contradictory, uncomfortable, or unfinished, then that is where we begin.

Take what resonates, question what does not, and do not surrender your judgment to me or anyone else holding a deck of cards. This is not prophecy carved in stone; do not treat it as such. This is about the work each of us needs to do.

It is an invitation to pause at the threshold, look directly at what is present, and decide how you intend to cross.

Feel It, Deal With It, Move Forward

You Will Find More of Yourself in Community

This is a community reading for August 11th, 2026.

As a preface, I normally am moved to select decks that would speak to most people and not really exclude anyone. However, this morning I pulled the Neoteric Feminine Tarot, which you see in the reading. I also tried pulling my Deadly Apothecary Oracle cards and, obviously, my runes.

And I kept working with those Oracle cards, getting nothing. At the same time, I was meditating on the Morning Star’s Enn chant, and it was made clear that the Deadly Apothecary Oracle was not the way to go and that I needed to pull a card from the Goetic Tarot deck that I have.

So that’s what I did.

I understand that isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but the message is important, and I hope that anyone reading this will be open-minded and receptive. If not, well, I guess that’s on you. It’s an important message, but you can decide whether you want to hear it or not.

So, with that, I first threw the runes, and then I pulled from the Goetic deck, and immediately Vapula jumped out.

Vapula is generally known for wisdom and acquiring knowledge. Their number in the Goetic hierarchy is 60, which reduces to 6. The tarot association for Vapula is the Seven of Cups. The number 7 also brings us back to things like knowledge, business, work, changes, and things like imagination, intelligence, and perhaps even clairvoyance. Sixes also talk about imagination and intelligence and the mind.

So, this card and this entity are very much associated with these things: wisdom, intelligence, insight, all things of the mind. And that’s really something that’s overarching for the entire reading.

One of the things I wanted to look at was what chakra Vapula might be associated with, which is the sixth chakra, or the third eye. Again, this is dealing with things like clarity, illumination, intuition, and wisdom. So that all very much strengthens that association.

This is not an entity who is associated solely with mundane knowledge. It’s also looking beyond and gaining greater insight and wisdom, and that higher order of knowledge that allows us to interpret the world around us and function in it at a higher level, where we see more than the mundane. This card is reminding us that this is available to all of us, and that really is the overarching theme for the reading.

And then we have the Knight of Cups.

Now, this card could represent someone in your life who’s just kind of an idealistic, charming type. They might be very creative and have a good imagination. This could be you as well. This is someone who could be very artistic and is a really great communicator, really good at negotiation and mediation. If it’s not a person in your life, and if it doesn’t feel like it’s you, this is also a call to really try and develop those skills and put them to good use.

When you look at the numerological correspondence to the Knight, it also points back to things like insight, inspiration, intuition, and personal power. So again, if it’s not referring to a person, it really could be speaking to coming into that personal power through your use of communication and your charming personality, which can really be a conduit for coming into that personal power. The other thing about this card is that it can be about moving forward with a creative project that you’ve really been feeling compelled to manifest.

So, back to that imagination.

And the communication skills and the ability to negotiate and mediate are really going to be needed. The reason being, the Five of Swords is here telling me that there’s some real negativity going on in your life from other people, likely in the workplace, which really had me go back and think, "Hey, is this reading for me, or is it really for the collective?”

But I noted there is no Tower in this reading, so it is not for me, singly anyway, but for the collective.

When you look at the Five of Swords, it’s generally some sort of conflict. If it’s regarding a situation, it could be bullying, hostility, or intimidation, and I really think that’s what we’re seeing in the workplace.

But it can also be more of an internal conflict, where you’re feeling a loss or you’re procrastinating and not really wanting to accept some restrictions that maybe you need to accept. You’ve got to swallow your pride a bit, and that’s what will allow you to continue with your plans.

And it is interesting that the Five of Swords is followed by the Three of Cups, because when you’re looking at the Three of Cups, that’s really talking about positive community and friendships and getting together and having fun. I mean, it could be a party, a social event, or something like that.

More likely, it’s about fostering those connections you’ve already got. Maybe you’ve just gotten involved in a new community that you’re really excited about, and you’re wanting to build those connections. This is a place where you can really use that creativity and imagination and make new friends.

And I see this happening for you, but probably not without its challenges.

Sometimes you just need to know when to walk away.

It’s not always a matter of whether you should communicate or whether you should try and negotiate. I really want to be clear on that. It’s not always appropriate, and it’s not always the healthiest thing to do, depending on who you’re needing to engage in that type of communication with.

And the King of Pentacles in reverse is what’s really speaking to that in my mind.

If it’s not you who’s having financial issues and mismanaging your resources, which is something I think we all can get into, but maybe I’m just projecting there, in the context of this reading, I feel like it’s someone else in your life who’s causing some issues because of their mismanagement of resources and general unhealthy emotional and psychological state.

This is going to be a person in your life who’s really controlling, possessive, greedy, materialistic, and wasteful. And this person is really bringing you down.

When you’ve got people like this in your life, it’s hard to embrace our creativity and foster imagination when we’re just trying to deal with the bullshit of having people like this in our lives and the financial repercussions that they can cause us.

With the King of Pentacles in reverse, I think it could also be referring to behavior that you’re doing, such as being negative or dishonest. So, if any of that resonates, just do some self-introspection. See if any of that’s going on and then get really clear about where you’re at and make plans to get out of it.

I really want to talk about the Queen of Cups in this reading.

This is a person in your life who is a great support for you.

When you’re dealing with this Five of Swords energy and this negativity, there’s some shit going on, right? People aren’t being kind to you. They’re giving you a rough time. And this King of Pentacles in reverse is probably part of that group that’s giving you a hard time.

And we want to get to that Three of Cups, right? That awesome community, that supportive and loving community that fosters your creativity and where you have great relationships.

If you have someone in your life that you trust who’s generally a warm, kind, and compassionate person, go build your relationship with that person. They’re going to help guide you in the right direction.

And anyone who’s like this, these are the people you’re going to want in that community, in your Three of Cups community.

You don’t want a King of Pentacles in reverse contributing to that Five of Swords negative, intimidating, harassment, bullying, or whatever-it-is energy. You want to bring that Queen of Cups energy in.

This is representing some rich emotional fulfillment, healthy emotional relationships, and people with good boundaries who hold them and can teach you to do the same.

You need these people in your life.

And if you have them, listen to them. If you don’t, may you find them soon. But I do genuinely think that you’ve got people like that in your life already.

So, lean on them. Pay attention. Listen. Heed their good advice.

And the Queen of Cups, she is calling you to just feel those emotions. Feel them all.

When we’re closed off to our emotions, we can’t deal with any of the shit we need to deal with.

So, I’m looking again at that King of Pentacles in reverse and that Five of Swords energy. There are going to be some emotions tied up in that, and they’re not pleasant. But you need to deal with them to accept any of the abundance that the universe wants to offer you.

And the Star in reverse is repeating the same message.

Those feelings of hopelessness and just the other negative feelings. It’s normal to feel that way. You’ve got the fucking Five of Swords energy. It’s going to make you feel like shit.

Queen of Cups is telling you to feel it.

Feel it so that you can deal with it.

Don’t lose hope. You have a supportive and loving community. You have the power and the ability to find your way into this community and deepen those friendships and to get away from the negative influences in your life.

And the Star in reverse is also asking you to not be too hard on yourself.

And you can do it, 100%.

And how do I know this?

Because the last card in this reading is the Six of Wands, which indicates success.

The Wands are the suit of action. And one of the things that you’ll notice if you follow any of my readings is that I will always mention that the universe doesn’t just hand out goodies, generally.

So, when a reading has a really positive card like this, and I use positive in the sense of what we might consider positive because just on face value, it’s like, ooh, success, yay. I think all of it’s positive in the end. But when we have a reading with a card like this, it’s not the universe saying that you’re just going to be successful without having put any of the work in.

That’s not how it works.

You need to act.

So right now, there are people in your life who are not serving your best interests. You know that. I think you know who those people are.

But you also know people who are healthier for you to be around, and you do have some of those healthier relationships that you’d like to foster.

It is hard to feel the feelings and foster other relationships when you’ve got those King of Pentacles-reversed types that can be really toxic, and you can have these codependent relationships that are dragging you down.

They’re going to make you feel hopeless and despondent.

But you don’t need to stay there, because you have the ability to be emotionally healthy, to fill your cup, so to speak.

The Knight of Cups is telling you that you can do it. Six of Wands is telling you to take action, and you’re going to be successful when you do.

So get to it.

And one more thing with the Six of Wands is to believe in yourself.

So, like the Star reversed, don’t be too hard on yourself. Believe in yourself. You can do it.

You can get out of the negative relationships and the toxic situations and be surrounded by a supportive and loving community that really helps you engage in and foster your creativity and imagination and experience success from that.

And now for the runes.

As a side note, I did forget to take a picture after I flipped the top two over, so you’re going to have to take my word for it about what they were.

I threw three.

I’m going to start with Eiwaz, which is at the bottom left. It’s kind of on its side.

And this rune is looking at relationships. It’s the energy to move forward. It’s action. Kind of like the Six of Wands is saying: act, get to it, deal with the toxic relationships, and nourish the more positive ones.

Now, it’s not fully reversed. It’s on its side. So, the movement, that action, isn’t quite there yet.

Maybe you’re not quite ready to take that action.

You know there’s some shit going on. You’ve got that person who’s causing some fucking problems, but you’ve also got that weird, toxic, codependent relationship with them, maybe, and that makes it hard to take action.

And that’s what this rune is pointing to.

And above Eiwaz, we have Jera.

Jera is never read in reverse, but it did arrive face down. And this rune is really talking about that interconnection that we’re seeing in the Three of Cups.

But because it arrived face down, it’s also saying that it hasn’t happened yet.

It’s what you want to get to through the action you need to take.

You still have those feelings of being a bit hopeless, and you’ve got some toxic people in your life. There’s still some negative shit coming towards you that’s kind of preventing you from taking the action you need to take to form those relationships.

This rune is saying, “Get to it.”

I mean, it’s possible. It’s talking about the interconnectedness. It just hasn’t happened yet.

And it’s not going to happen until you take some of the action that you need to take.

And then, to its own side, right at the top, we’ve got Mannaz, and this rune is really tying together the whole reading.

It arrived face down. And when I turned it over, it was upright.

This is where we’re going to focus again on community. It’s a community rune. It’s an intelligence rune. But it’s also talking about the self-work that needs to happen.

So, it arrived face down, and it’s saying that all that stuff just hasn’t happened yet.

Go back to Vapula.

That’s the wisdom, intelligence, creativity, and imagination.

Use it.

Put the work in. Communicate. Deal with the shit in your life. Surround yourself with a more positive community.

And with Mannaz, it’s really the self-work. You’re going to have to work on yourself.

It’s hard leaving people, especially if you’ve got any kind of codependent relationships, triangulation, or a narcissist in your life.

Again, with this rune arriving face down, it’s like you haven’t done the self-work yet. And that’s what it’s saying.

Six of Wands says you can do it. You’re going to be successful. You need to do it.

Rely on the people that you have in your life already who are emotionally healthy, who know how to have healthy relationships and set boundaries and hold to them. Learn from them.

This feeling of hopelessness will pass if you put in the work.

You don’t need to feel despondent. Well, you need to feel it right now if that’s what you’re feeling. Own that feeling and honor that emotion.

But it can pass.

You no longer need to be a victim of intimidation and bullying and toxicity.

You’re a charming individual. You’ve got good communication skills. You can be very tactful. You’re knowledgeable. And you have wisdom and creativity.

Surround yourself with people who see you for you.

The community that supports and will nourish all of that is there, but you’re going to have to take some action.

You’ve got to put in some self-work to get rid of the shit in your life that’s preventing you from being able to access that energy and what the universe wants to offer you.

This is a community reading, which means it is speaking to the collective. If you want me to look at your situation specifically, I offer private, personalized readings.
